Winter Wonderland on Wednesday
We can't believe it's been a whole week since you guys were last in our classroom! This snow and ice + your long weekend from parent-teacher conferences = one long break. Thank you for being flexible with the technology and online school during the snow days. We know it can be difficult to learn when you aren't with your teachers in person, but you can still make the most of your learning by doing all your assignments on Google Classroom!
Today we had to do some catching up and get back on track since our schedule got shuffled around. We started with a group morning meeting to see what House our new students and Mrs. Meridith was in. Then, we talked about our new math menus and math rotations!
For our candy bar election, we talked about campaigning. We made posters, buttons, and commercials to promote our candy and why it is the best! In reading, we finally got to do our animal presentations. The students who didn't get a chance to present today will get to do so tomorrow.
In math, we had 2 rotations - the lesson with your teacher and your math menu. Since the snow days kinda messed up our menu, we will get to work on it next week as well.
We can't wait to read your Red Ribbon Week papers. We will announce the winners by the end of the week and they will receive a special prize! (If you don't know what I'm talking about, you might want to go look at your Wednesday Journal Prompt a little more carefully.) Stay warm and see you Thursday!
