Toga, Toga, Toga!

Updated: Dec 17, 2020

"This was the best day of 3rd Grade so far!"

"Today was my favorite day!"

"I loved what we did today!"

These were all some of the comments your teachers heard as you left school today. Our Roman Toga Party and special Christmas activity were a BLAST, and we are SO glad you had as much fun as we did! We have really tried to make this a special time of year for you since COVID stinks and ruins everything. So thanks for having good and positive attitudes!

We are officially, 100% DONE with the gingerbread villages! They look so awesome and we will share a special video with you tomorrow.

We took our Unit 4 math test over area, then got to discover our special Christmas activity. I can't say too much about it in case a parent decides to read our blog, but let's just say they are going to LOVE what we made today. ☺️

We ended with our Roman Toga Party! Every had on their amazing togas and costumes. We went into the library, which had been transformed into a Roman city. There was the stage area, where people could perform and entertain the crowds. There was the slave kitchen, where they were busy preparing the feast for the Senators, Patricians, and Plebeians. And last, there was the Roman marketplace, where the Plebeians sold special items for gold and silver coins. Unfortunately, the Plebeians kept getting taxed unfairly! No wonder why they started the Punic Wars!

It was such a fun day, and tomorrow will be even more fun with our CHRISTMAS PARTY and last day of school before break! Don't forget to dress cozy in your pjs, and bring pillows and blankets if you want to!
