State Assessments, Ditloids, and The 3 Little Pigs

Updated: May 4, 2021

Hey, hey 3rd grade! It was another Terrific Tuesday! When you walked into class, there was a special snack for you to enjoy on your desk. We began our morning with our usual meeting and announcements and then we went outside for a quick brain break before we began our 2nd Math State Assessment.

Once everyone was finished with their test, we went outside for another brain break recess. Next, your teachers had some more brain teaser activities for you to work through with your cohorts. Today’s challenge was ditloid puzzles. We love to see you thinking outside of the box and using problem solving strategies! You even learned some new vocabulary words. For an extra dollar, comment below how many years are in a decade and in a millennium.

Today you had your very last 3rd grade Exploration Place science lesson with Miss Erica. For this lesson, you all created your very own rockets and launched them outside! It was awesome!

After specials, you were able to do some math practice during Prime Time or on Reflex.

Next, we moved on to our reading lesson. For today’s lesson, we read another fractured Fairy Tale, The True Story of the Three Little Pigs. After reading the story, you determined 3 causes and effects of different events in the story.

Then, you listened to the play that you were interested in and signed up for a part. Some of you were interested in the same parts, so you will audition for the part at a later time.

At the end of the day we were able to get packed up and go outside for an end of the day recess!

Have a great evening, see you tomorrow!
