Field Trip Friday!
I'll keep this blog post short and sweet because this April Fools Friday was BUSY and your teachers are TIRED! We had some business to take care of this morning before leaving for our field trip: lunch count, Color Run money collection, fluency reads, finishing up Math Menus, packing lunches for the field trip, puzzle time, practice for spelling and times tests, and so much more! After our Morning Meeting, we loaded the bus to head to the Mid-America All-Indian Center in Wichita.
The field trip was a lot of fun. We felt different animal hides, played different instruments at our "Pow Wow," read the legend of The First Strawberries, explored a teepee. We went into the Buffalo Room and learned more about Native American artifacts and made our own beaded bracelets. We ended the trip by walking over the bridge to the Keeper of the Plains statue. Comment something NEW or INTERESTING that you learned from the field trip today!
Pow Wow Time!
When we got back to school, we took our times test and Mrs. Day pulled of an epic April Fool's prank of giving a fake spelling test. We ended up taking our REAL spelling test, did some math tech time, moved seats, and headed home! Hope you have a great weekend!
