Fabulous Friday

Happy Friday everyone! Today was a fabulous day in 3rd Grade. We picked new flexible seating and talked about some NEW procedures with our checklists. Starting Monday, you no longer have to check in with Miss Gurley at 9:00 or 1:00. We need Miss Gurley in our classroom to help teach small groups, and you guys are starting to get the hang of Google Classroom and don't have as many questions about your assignments anymore. HOWEVER, we still have to take attendance when you aren't at school, and we do that by seeing who is completing their work at home. If you have lots of missing assignments, we have to count you absent. If you have too many absences, we have to send Mrs. Elder, or sometimes even a police officer over to your house to check on you! Nobody wants that! So make sure you are still doing your schoolwork.

Another new thing is you will have 2 check-ins on Remote Wednesdays with your teachers. We have to take attendance once in the morning and once in the afternoon. All this new information will be on your checklists next week to help you remember.

We are still working on our Life-Sized Body Systems in science. They are starting to look really good! Once they are finished, they will be hung in the hallway for everyone to see.

We are still doing rotations in math and reading. In math, we worked on strategies for counting by sixes. We also wrapped up our menus and will start new activities next week! In reading, we did writing with Mrs. Day, prefixes with Mrs. Meridith, and took a spelling test with Miss Gurley.
