Donut Day
Updated: Mar 4, 2022
Happy Thursday 3rd graders! We began our morning with delicious donuts and orange juice. We had more students bring their show and tell. Marissa even brought her dog, Genie!

We read chapter 9, Walk on the Moon, as a whole class. Neil Armstrong was the first man to walk on the moon and Buzz Aldrin was the second. People around the world watched it on TV. There is no air on the moon, so the astronauts had to wear breathing tanks, masks and spacesuits.
During reading rotations you read, What's It Like in Space, with Mrs. Meridith, continued working on your reading and writing choice boards with Mrs. Day, and you practiced writing your spelling words with chalk outside.
Before we knew it, it was time to begin our journey to Donut Bay. We couldn’t have asked for better weather!
After we ate our sack lunches, fished, played volleyball and enjoyed the beautiful weather, we headed back to Eisenhower so you could get to specials.
For today’s math rotations we started off with tech time or prime time. Next, during your teacher lesson you all represented measurement data with line plots.
We ended the day with a nice long afternoon recess!
It was a fantastic day in 3rd grade! Enjoy your long weekend!
