Chimpanzees, Google Earth, and Rounding to the Nearest 10
Welcome to our Marvelous Monday in 3rd Grade! We hope you had a good weekend. We kicked off our day in 3rd Grade with our Morning Meeting and a show and tell from Paxton. We also got to see some special pictures from the Dairy Farm where our calf lives. Thanks for stopping and taking pictures Mrs. Day! Next, we watched a video clip about Jane Goodall before we began our reading rotations.
In our reading rotations, we read more about Jane Goodall with Mrs. Meridith. For a bonus ticket, comment below what it means to be an activist. We continued working on animal research with Mrs. Day. Don’t forget your animal habitat dioramas are due this Thursday!
After a few rounds of Reading Prime Time/Daily 5, we continued reading Because of Winn Dixie.
In Social Studies, you used QR Codes and Google Earth to determine if a location was a city, state, continent, or country. Good job working as a team to finish this assignment!
In math, we started a new week of menu activities. During your lesson with your teachers, you practiced rounding two-digit measurements to the nearest ten. You used rulers, scales, and beakers to measure and determine the nearest ten. You also completed lessons on Dreambox.
Have a great evening, we will see you all tomorrow!
